Parishioners of Saint Ambrose Catholic Church in Annandale, Virginia collected these stones from Holy Land sites, many of which correspond to locations pertaining to the Mysteries of the Rosary. (The Christians in the Holy Land are referred to as “living stones.")
These stones are buried underneath the center aisle of the church and are marked with a numbered tile. This plaque lists the sites from which the stones were collected and correlates with the numbered tiles on the floor.
